Prima secunda este exact momentul cand putem “masura”, cu o precizie chirurgicala, de laser, standardul nostru de performanta. Ne zambesc?  Sincer, cald, deschis, apropiat? E zambetul acela care zideste de o vesnicie toate legaturile frumoase dintre oameni? Acela e? …E?

Daca raspunsul e “da”, ne-am facut sigur treaba. Si cred ca cei mai multi, macar in parte, ne-am facut-o. Sau macar ne-am straduit. Si sigur ne vom stradui si mai mult, la anul.

Carieră? Himeră? Carie….ră!


In ultimii ani, incep sa am probleme serioase cu intelegerea unor termeni. Nu e vorba despre semantica aici, inca nu scartaie sinapsele chiar atat de tare.  Este mai degraba nedumerirea (consternarea?) mea fata de greutatea data de multi colegi de generatie unor cuvinte. De exemplu, cad mai nou intr-un soi de perplexitate vizavi de emfaza, accentul categoric cu care se pronunta cuvantul-eticheta …. “cariera”. Din gura unora, suna la fel de implacabil ca “destin”, “soarta”…. “vesnicie”!

Nevoia mea in privinta decriptarii tuturor abisalelor semnificatii ale cuvantului in cauza are o explicatie – privesc nauc cum se construiesc altare de cult in jurul acestui concept – “cariera”.  Ok si ce inseamna in economia agitata a vietii noastre actuale, maretul termen? Incerc o enumerare de sensuri si posibile explicatii, dorind sa chestionez (sau sa inteleg) de ce acest cuvant pare sa reprezinte (pentru unii, multi? putini?) cheia, solutia la complicata ecuatie a fericirii noastre.

  1. Sa fie vorba despre prestigiu, recunoastere, imagine? Ok, suntem deci aici pe tarlaua numita “ego-masaj”, obligatorie pentru homo sapiens – last version (mai mult “last” dacat “version”). Sau cum ar zice taica Maslow, in drumul nostru catre ultimul etaj al piramidei sale ne-am blocat egolatru la penultimul etaj, adunand cu disperare de peste tot, ce putem – titluri, ranguri, osanale, feedback-uri, like-uri (mai nou) – terapii intensive de consolidare a unui ego tot mai firav. Daca ai facut cariera, azi, nu conteaza cum, esti miezul din smochina, esenta universului, the one and only, mandria asociatiei de locatari sau a ruralei comunitati din care ti se trage neamul. Sa duca asta la fericirea cu bataie lunga?
  2. Sa fie vorba despre extazul financiar? Cariera e despre parale? Despre inca o camera adaugata viloantei luate pe credit sau niscaiva armasari putere in plus sub capota ultimului “bat-mobil” cu care ii vom impresiona (pana la implozie) pe invidiosii vecini de cartier? E drumul cu sens-unic catre “a avea” si ignorarea celui catre “a fi”? Si din nou…sa fie asta calea catre serenitate?
  3. Sa fie vorba despre intrecere? Despre siguranta? Despre tot mai alerta noastra anxietate generata de hiper-competitivitatea cea mult propovaduita pe toate canalele? Fara CV tzapan, esti sub radar. Nu ai cariera…nu esti in siguranta. Nu esti valabil. De fapt…cine esti, dom’le? Ca daca nu “existi” maret si ostentativ in ochii celorlalti, nu ai cum sa “existi” plenar pe taramul fericirii, asa cum este ea rau asimilata astazi. Esti in ofsaid ontologic.

Mai nou, cazand in capcana voluptoasa a noului limbaj de dud, am gasit si niste fonfaite expresii care sa imbrace goliciunea acestui concept – iaca zicem ca ne edificam “brand-ul personal”.  Ptiu drace, pe vremuri admirai oamenii de isprava, azi misuna prin societate bipede branduri personale, pline de continut precum covrigul de gaura.

Sa fie goana asta dupa “cariera” batalia noastra sanatoasa pentru implinire? Sa fie ea, “cariera”, asa cum este clamata azi in targ – aura sclipicioasa pentru care merita sa ii respectam, apreciem, admiram, pe ceilalti?

Nu ma pot abtine de la calamburul asta, cuvantul cariera poate fi glumet separat in “carie….ra”. Caria e chestia aia care te roade, te sfredeleste, te chinuie pana cand te duci sa o rezolvi si abia apoi….uiti de ea. “Ră” este exact cum se spune in satul bunicilor  – cand o treaba nu-i “faină”, e “ră”.  Obsesia carierei este toxica si contraproductiva. Un destin superb se construieste in mare parte pe smerenie, masura, cuviinta. Oamenii-faclii sunt cei care se trezesc ca au admiratia semenilor fara sa fi fost asta obiectul pariului lor personal. Sau miza. Iar brandul lor este magica reteta compusa din autenticitate, decenta, performanta fara ostentatie, altitudine sufleteasca fara aroganta si hectare intregi, continente de bun simt.

Exista probabil si o cariera legitima, catre care am putea aspira fara nici o ezitare.  Cariera in care nu ne pasa de cariera. De toata admiratia perisabila obtinuta cu multe flic-flac-uri si artificii de imagine.  Cariera de fiinte perfect echipate sa genereze iubire, compasiune, frumusete, fericire. Cariera de om!
